Spain – or officially, The Kingdom of Spain – is an extremely mountainous European country. The climate is very diverse and according to region – and the rain in Spain does NOT fall mainly on the plain, it falls mainly on the northern mountains. The following article is a mixture of a few things – mainly tips, tricks and some guides for those of you who just bought an iPhone 4. If you are skeptical about the reception and other potential problems the iPhone 4 might have – don’t worry – you are not alone.
Please do take note that we are not going to discuss what’s new in iOS4 (operating system) as it has been pretty much covered elsewhere. This article is basically- what you can expect with the new iPhone 4.
1. Update all your applications
First things first, check for application updates. If you have lot of applications installed in your previous iPhone 3G or 3GS, chances are they will need to be updated again so that they can take advantages of the new iOS4 features and iPhone 4 capabilities. So before you start trying out your existing applications on iPhone 4, take a moment to check if they need to be updated.
2. Where’s Facetime?
This is probably one of the first thing you’d like to explore on new iPhone 4, but where’s the Facetime app? Facetime is actually not an application, in fact, it’s an option available (for now) only when you make a call via WiFi to another iPhone 4 user.
Facetime is turn off by default. To turn it on, go to Settings → Phone and turn Facetime on. Carrier activation might be required. Learn more about Facetime.
3. You’ll need a new wallpaper
With retina display, everything on iPhone 4 looks amazingly vibrant and high quality. The screen supports up to 960×640 pixels at 326ppi, approximately 4 times higher than the resolution in a iPhone 3Gs. In another words, it makes your current wallpaper looks weak and you’ll need to look for a higher resolution wallpapers :-)
4. Try iMovie for iPhone 4
iMovie for iPhone4 is a light version of iMovie for Mac and it’s awesome. It allows you to edit and share your recorded videos on the fly. And did we mention all videos recording with iPhone 4 are in high definition (HD)?

5. Tap to Focus Object – Video
Even the smartest gadget can use a some human touch. While video recording, you can tap on different objects on the screen to have iPhone focus on them.
6. View widescreen while Recording
If you swap from camera mode to video mode, you’ll notice that the objects are actually getting closer. That is because video recording is done in wide screen mode. To display in wide screen while recording – double tab the screen.
7. Search Web, Wikipedia on the fly
By swiping right on the home screen, you’ll activate Spotlight. Type in something and scroll all the way to the bottom and you’ll noticed two additional search options have been added, respectively the "Search web" and "Search wikipedia". Both search uses Safari browser.
8. Mirror, Self-Shot
iPhone 4 comes with an additional front camera. By clicking on the camera icon on the top right, the front camera is activated instead of the back. We thought this could be useful for those who want to use their iPhone as a mirror, or perhaps, it makes taking self-shots easier too!
9. The iPhone 4 reception problem
This is the question most people are most concerned about. To be fair, yes signal bars do dropped when gripped – they call it the Death Grip.
However, signal drop only happens in areas where receptions are weak, so it very much depends a lot on your service provider. The problem is mild, don’t get too worried about it.
10. Yellow Splotches on the screen
Some users are reporting that they have been noticing yellow patches on the iPhone 4 screen. According to macintouch, this is just a small temporarily problem as these yellow splotches are nothing but some bonding agents for the glass that will evaporate as the device is exposed to the air. You can relax now.
Lindsay Lohan got her get-out-of-rehab-early card Tuesday, and now she's free to roam the streets and socially network as she wishes! The (formerly?) troubled actress wasted no time and hopped back on Twitter this afternoon.
After 36 days away from the site, she got right back in the game and took the chance to reprimand the nosy photogs. She posted (via People.com): "Clearly.. Paparazzi shouldn't be allowed to take pictures or video while someone's driving or at a stop light. 4every1's sake."
We don't exactly blame her for the gripe -- she's had her license back for a whole 24 hours and the cameras are already hot on her trail. The last thing she needs is another crash and/or court date.

It is often said; don’t judge a book by its cover, but in this case, the opposite appears to be more true. It is not often that we would see book covers made of wood or imprinted with real life objects appearing to be part of the book itself, but many have decided to showcase their talent through these beautiful artworks we have below today.

Some people don’t like ads. But a new class action lawsuit in California against Facebook (embedded below) thinks it should be illegal for teenagers to like any ads without first obtaining parental consent.
This time it is not a joke, I think. And the issue is Facebook’s “Like” button, not using the likeness of a person to plug a product. On Facebook, you can “like” any status update or post in your stream, but you can also “like” ads. When you do so, it can appear as a status update to all your friends if that ad is linked to a Facebook page, thus turning the “like” button into a social endorsement. (If it is not linked to a page, liking an ad is simply used by Facebook to help them determine the quality of an ad, and it will not appear in your stream).
The class action lawyers claim that in the case of teenagers, Facebook is “misappropriating the names and pictures of minors for profit.” Facebook might say that it is in its terms of service, that’s how the site works. But the lawsuit hinges on a loophole in California law which requires parental consent in order to obtain a minor’s consent for using their name or likeness for an advertisement, And Facebook doesn’t do that. Lawsuits like this one could result in anyone under 18 having to get their parents’ permission to sign up for Facebook. Well, most of readers of my website are teenagers, so, what do you think? Do you think that you should be allowed to link ads on Facebook?

Ashley N. Wood: My dream is to motivate, and encourage girls (and even guys!) of all different ages, that if you set your mind to something, you can achieve greatness. No matter what it may be!
Brian Condenanza: It sounds amazing! What is your favorite kind of music? What are your favorites singers or bands?
Ashley N. Wood: I adore all different types and variations of music. :] I'm a dancer, and with that, you learn to move to all the types of music. From Classic, to hip-hop, from rap to rock.
There are so many amazing artists out there; it’s so hard to choose which one I want to listen to, so I turn on the radio to hear a little bit of everyone! Jay Z, Rhianna, Beyonce, Counting crows, Rich Rossi, Ludacris, Shania Twain, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Rascal flats, I love them all!

Brian Condenanza: Do you have any hero? If you have, who are them?
Ashley N. Wood: would have to say my Hero would be my mother.
No matter what happens, no matter what's going on, my mom always gives my sister, three brothers and I the best. She always does her best to make us happy, and make sure we have what we need. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be where I am today, without her being there with me every step of way to help me in any down falls I might have had.
Brian Condenanza: What is the best of California?
Ashley N. Wood: What is the best of California?! Why everything of course! :D
You can find everything in California, beaches, mountains, snow, rain, and sun! The weather is always fantastic, never too hot, and never too cold. I can honestly say I'm proud to be a born and raised native Californian, with the biggest smile on my face!!

Brian Condenanza: Ok, and what is your favorite city in California? And why?
Ashley N. Wood: I'd say my favorite city in beautiful California, would have to be Santa Monica. California has everything to offer us, you can go just about anywhere. A little drive could turn out to be the snowboarding adventure of your life! Find yourself at one of our many gorgeous lakes fishing, maybe hiking on one of the beautiful mountains we have, or you could be laying out on one of the many beautiful beaches we have here in our lovely State.
Brian Condenanza: Everybody knows that you are really pretty, but why you should be Miss California?
Ashley N. Wood: I should be Miss California, because if I was giving the opportunity, I would do my absolute best to help others, help plans events to raise awareness about multiple causes, for example, my platform is Autism awareness. My little brother has autism, and I've watched how it affects his everyday life. I believe people need to know about these type of things in our communities, we could hold special events for kids with autism, who kids and even adults who have learning disabilities. Another is getting girls and boys motivated about being healthy, and happy with themselves. Kids need to know, they can be and do whatever they want to in life! If they really want it, set your mind to it, and you will achieve!
Brian Condenanza: What is your favorite book? What is your favorite quote from any famous person?
Ashley N. Wood: My favorite book I would have to say is the Miracle Worker By William Gibson. That book to this day, I can read it and within just a few chapters, smile, cry, even get a little frustrated due to what's going on between character! It has you on the edge of your seat wanting to read more, and find out what happens next. The amazing story of Helen Keller - I won't ruin it for you if you haven't already read it, or seen the movie that was made after it!! It's a truly inspirational book, I recommend it if you're looking for a good read!

Brian Condenanza: Nice recommendation! Do you like nature?
Ashley N. Wood: I absolutely LOVE nature! I adore being outdoors, and doing many fun and exciting activities, such as off roading, roller blading, ice skating, jogging, hanging out with friends, laying out on the beach, and many more! I always make the most of everything I do, while having fun with it!
I love new experiences and giving back to my community, for example; I have served the homeless, I've planned and organized youth events, and I serve the senior citizens of my community. I also help out with the "0-Waste" program in Santa Monica to help keep the environment clean!
Brian Condenanza: Oh, that sounds amazing! Do you think that you represent California? Why?
Ashley N. Wood: Yes, I do believe I represent California! I strive to be a great role model for girls everywhere, & I want to continue to encourage girls of all ages to be independent, motivated, determined, and as healthy as they can be. I want to make a positive difference in the life of others as much so as I possibly can.
